IF your Sky box is running slow, it’s very possible you have it stored in the wrong place.

It’s important that your Sky box is well ventilated.

So, don’t shove the box into a cramp space, or stack it with other devices on top of, underneath, or beside it.

Even if the rammed bookshelf or cluttered desk looks like the perfect spot for it, it’s best to find another alternative.

Placing the Sky box on a carpet, soft surface or in an enclosed space, such such as a closed cabinet is also no good.

Having it on a carpet may also put it at risk of being tripped over or trodden on.

Having a TV console that can hold your TV and the Sky box is best, as it gives the tech enough room to breathe.

But try to avoid putting the Sky box close to other electronic devices or the vents on the TV.

This includes radiators and even direct sunlight.

If you don’t have a TV console already and don’t want to buy one, then fear not.

You can certainly try putting the Sky box on a bookshelf or desk – but be sure to follow Sky’s advice.
