One reason why your phone could be on a go-slow is down to the number of tabs in your internet brower you have unwittingly still open.

And for Safari users, these can all be closed with a simple press of your finger.  

The hack was shared on Twitter by user @TodayYearsOld, who asked their followers: ‘How old were you when you learned you can press and hold the tab browser on your iPhone to save you three minutes of swiping?’.

And hundreds of people commented on the post, with many of them saying that they ‘never knew’ this tip.

One person wrote: ‘Never knew’.

As another put: ‘Omg. this changed my life thank you.’ 

And a third said: ‘Omg, life changer.’ 

While another wrote: ‘Just closed 426 tabs,’ as one person also commented: ‘This deserves a follow on account of I just closed 323 tabs in one move.’ 

 How to clear all Safari tabs on your Apple device

They way to clear your Safari tabs couldn’t be easier.

All you have to do is open the Safari app on your phone, and then tap and hold the tab icon in the bottom right.

Following this, a secret menu will appear.

You can tap Close All X Tabs to remove them all instantly.
