A savvy mum tracked down the scent at her local Home Bargains store and shared the find with her nearly 2,000 followers on TikTok.

Posting under the username lozzabee07, the TikTokker showed viewers the bottle of White Lies which she picked up for just £1.99.

She then held up her used bottle of Burberry Weekend and said the Home Bargains scent is a “dupe” for the designer perfume.

She said: “I’m going to smell it and I’m going to rate it out of 10 as to whether it’s as good as this because this is elite – I love this perfume.”

One woman said: “Wow thank you hun, off to buy it.”

And a second commented: “I’ve been getting this months its £1.99 smells exactly like Burberry, I came across it to try – now buy a few every time I’m in.”

Others remarked on how well the smell lasted, which can be a concern when buying a dupe perfume.

A commenter said: “I love this always buy it last all day and people always asking me what it is.”

Lauren also replied to one calling the perfume the “best dupe” she has ever bought.
