Exclusive: Medical Protection Society says many feel ‘guilty until proven innocent’ with the regulator

Almost one in three doctors being investigated by the medical regulator think about taking their own life, new research reveals.

A total of 31% of doctors whose conduct has been probed by the General Medical Council (GMC) have had suicidal thoughts, according to the Medical Protection Society (MPS).
