There are three Bank Holidays to enjoy, with the Early May Bank Holiday landing on the first day of the month.

The following Monday Brits will be treated to another day off in celebration of King Charles’ Coronation on May 8, 2023.

While the Late May Bank Holiday will land on May 29, 2023.

Is B&M open over the May Bank Holidays? 

Open hours across B&M’s branches can vary from shop to shop, so it’s always best to use the retailer’s store locator on its website.

You just have to enter your postcode and it will tell you your closest store.

B&M hasn’t yet revealed its opening hours over the three May Bank Holidays, but it’s welcomed shoppers on other Bank Holiday Mondays.

To avoid disappointment, just check B&M’s store locator before making the trip.

Meanwhile, B&M stores closed in England, Wales and Northern Ireland on Easter Sunday – while stores in Scotland remained open.

Are other shops open on the Bank Holiday?

Opening hours for other retailers can vary from store to store, so you should always check ahead.

Most retailers have their own store locators that show you your nearest branch and its opening hours.

Asda

Asda has confirmed its stores will be open as normal on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.

Its supermarkets will also keep their usual opening times on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7.

On Monday, May 1 and Monday, May 8, Aldi stores will open at the usual time, but they will close slightly earlier at 8pm.

All stores in Scotland will be open until 10pm as usual.

Tesco

Tesco has over 3,400 stores across the UK and each one’s opening hours will vary from branch to branch so customers should check the supermarket’s store locator.

You can find this on the website, and just have to enter your postcode to find your nearest store.

However, on the May Bank Holidays, the majority of Tesco’s larger stores will be open from 8am to 6pm while some may stay open until 8pm.

All Tesco Express stores will be open as normal.

Aldi

Aldi has also confirmed its store will be open as normal on Saturday, April 29 and Sunday, April 30.

Its supermarkets will also keep their usual opening times on Saturday, May 6 and Sunday, May 7.
