When is Cyber Monday 2020 and where can I get the best deals?

BLACK Friday might be over but there are plenty of deals still to be had over the weekend and on Cyber Monday.

Cyber Monday falls on November 30 this year and we’ve rounded up everything you need to know.

What is Cyber Monday?

Hot on the heels of Black Friday, Cyber Monday is a day when retailers slash their prices online for 24 hours.

Customers often bookmark the products they have their eye on and set alarms for the exact moment the sales launch on each site.

With so much choice out there, it can be easy to pay more than you need to for a product while caught up in the shopping frenzy.

It’s important to do your research, compare prices and be sure that you really are getting a good deal.

It also helps to write a list of what you’d like to avoid buying stuff you don’t really need.

JUST because something is on offer, or is part of a sale, it doesn’t mean it’s always a good deal.

There are plenty of comparison websites out there that’ll check prices for you – so don’t be left paying more than you have to.

Most of them work by comparing the prices across hundreds of retailers.

Google Shopping is a tool that lets users search for and compare prices for products across the web. Simply type in keywords, or a product number, to bring up search results.

Price Spy logs the history of how much something costs from over 3,000 different retailers, including Argos, Amazon, eBay and the supermarkets. Once you select an individual product you can quickly compare which stores have the best price and which have it in stock.

Idealo is another website that lets you compare prices between retailers. All shoppers need to do is search for the item they need and the website will rank them from the cheapest to the most expensive one.

CamelCamelCamel only works on goods being sold on Amazon. To use it, type in the URL of the product you want to check the price of.

Cyber Monday is always the Monday after Black Friday – and as the name suggests it’s about the offers online.

It was created by marketing companies to encourage people to shop online.

Traditionally, Black Friday is the day after Thanksgiving – an American holiday which falls on the fourth Thursday in November.

This year, Black Friday was on November 27 and Cyber Monday is on November 30.

Often retailers will keep their sale running throughout the weekend, so savvy shoppers can also bag bargains on the Saturday and Sunday between.

In Britain, it’s considered to be one of the biggest internet shopping days of the year, as retailers pack their websites with oodles of offers.

Look for discount codes – Check websites like Vouchercodes.co.uk and MyVoucherCodes.co.uk to see if you can get an extra discount.
Earn cashback – Check websites like Quidco or TopCashback BEFORE you place your order. Cashback websites PAY you to shop. All you have to do is click through their links and the money is added to your online account, usually within 14 days.
