SEVEN supermarkets have announced big changes to their shelves from today – and it’s good news for shoppers.

A number of retailers have revealed when free range eggs will be available to buy again, including Iceland, Asda and Tesco.

The government ordered all birds to be kept inside from November 7 following a giant outbreak of bird flu.

It saw free range eggs dropped from supermarket shelves.

But restrictions were lifted from today (April 18) as the risk has been lowered to minimum by officials, meaning supermarkets are free to start re-stocking them.

A number of supermarkets have now confirmed to The Sun when they expect free range eggs to be back on shelves. Here’s the full list:

Iceland

Iceland is the only supermarket that has free range eggs on shelves as of today (April 18).

The retailer has them in stock online too, with prices ranging from £1.45 to £3.

If you want to find your nearest Iceland store, you can use the store locator on its website.

Tesco

The UK’s biggest supermarket is bringing free range eggs back to shelves in just over a week.

It said it was continuing to work with its suppliers and its own brand free range eggs will reappear on shelves from April 26.

They will reappear online on the same date.

Again, you can find the nearest Tesco store by using its store locator.

Asda

The supermarket chain, which runs more than 600 stores, did not give an exact date for when free range eggs will return to shelves.

But, it did say the food stuff should start appearing within the next few weeks.

If you’re looking to pop out to your nearest Asda store in the coming days, you can find your local one on the supermarket’s store locator.

Waitrose

Waitrose said now restrictions have been lifted, free range eggs should start appearing on shelves from early May.

Again, the retailer did not give an exact date for when they will be back in stock.

Waitrose also has a store locator where you can find your closest branch.

Co-op

Co-op also stopped short of offering a specific date for when its free range eggs will be back on shelves.

But, the retailer did say it expected them to start reappearing from early next week (April 23).

Lidl

The German-owned supermarket chain said it expected free range eggs to start filtering back into stores over the next few weeks.

It did not offer a specific date for when the food stuff will be back in-store though.

Aldi

The other German-owned retailer revealed it expects free range eggs to be back on shelves from April 25.
