The bank is set to close branches across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Sites in Alnwick, Hayes and South Harrow are among pulling the shutters down for good in July.

Barclays has announced a total of 83 closures this year.

It follows a flurry of closures already announced in 2023 by several banks, including NatWest , Lloyds Banking Group and Halifax.

The closures come as major high street banks opt to transition more of their banking services online.

Data from LINK, the UK’s largest cash machine network, shows when banks are set to close over the next five months.

Barclays has previously said that more customers are now choosing to do their banking online and on apps, rather than visiting in person.

Here’s the new list of Barclays branches scheduled for closure:

Typically if there are no banks in a town, you should be able to do some basic banking at your local Post Office

Many banks also offer a mobile banking service.

This is where your bank brings a bus to your local area that has the services that are usually available at your branch.

You should call up your bank to see if it runs a banking bus and they will be able to tell you where and when it will be parked.

Other banks use buildings such as village halls or libraries to offer mobile banking services.

Meanwhile, we have put together a full list of bank branches closing this month.
