While dating apps were once seen as taboo, they’re now one of the main ways that singletons find love around the world.
And if you’re single this bank holiday, there’s good news, as experts from dating app Badoo have revealed the best time to go online to bag yourself a date.
According to their research, Saturday from 8-10pm is the peak time to swipe this weekend.
Remy Le Fevre, Senior Director of Global Marketing at Badoo said: ‘Easter is a great time for dating; the days are finally getting brighter and longer, and moods are lifting.
‘Not to mention that thanks to two bank holidays – Friday and Monday – we actually have a bit of extra time on our hands, too.’

Badoo surveyed 1,003 Britons aged 18-40 about their dating plans over the bank holiday weekend.
The results revealed that 58 per cent of singletons plan to spend time on dating apps over the long weekend, while 27 per cent already have a date planned.
In terms of timings, Saturday from 8-10pm will be the most popular time for singletons on dating apps, according to the survey.
‘Tuesday is the least popular day of the week to chat so be sure to make the most of the Bank Holiday weekend itself,’ Badoo advises.
When it comes to the date itself, Saturday afternoon was found to be the time that most singletons would like to go on a date.
Dinner in a restaurant (47 per cent) was the most popular suggestion for a first date, followed by brunch (36 per cent) or a trip to a bar (35 per cent).
‘Despite the additional “free” time, we know it can still be busy with existing commitments, so we’ve provided the perfect hack to help those searching for meaningful connections and not just Easter eggs,’ Mr Le Fevre added.
If you’re planning to get swiping this weekend, thankfully help is at hand, as experts have worked tirelessly over the years to find the secret formula for success in online dating.
Studies have shown that having a dog in your photos or an Apple product increase your chance of getting a match.
However a direct chat-up line like ‘your lips are so sexy’, and even saucy pictures, could be putting off potential dates.
