This phone has good performance, two-day battery life, and a large, edge-to-edge 6.7-inch OLED screen. I didn’t like the Edge’s waterfall display, where the screen bleeds into the edges, because it’s easy to accidentally press the screen while you hold the phone, but it certainly looks cool. Plus, it’s a 90-Hz panel, so content looks wonderfully fluid. The cameras are good, though they’re lackluster in low light—and there’s a headphone jack! It’s just a shame there’s no wireless charging or water resistance, but at this price, it’s easy to ignore.
Moto G Stylus

The Moto G Stylus wasn’t a good value when it launched, but it’s excellent at this lower price. Its performance and screen are satisfactory, the battery lasts two days, and the software is uncluttered. The cameras aren’t great in low light, and you probably won’t use the included stylus, because Motorola’s palm rejection tech is poor. Also, there’s no NFC on this phone, so you can’t use contactless payment systems like Google Pay.
If you want to spend even less, the Moto G Power for $180 ($70 off) is a similar phone with a lesser camera, but the battery lasts three full days. There’s also the Moto G Fast for $150 ($50 off), which offers a lot of phone for very, very little.
