This is a setting within your Google Account that walks you through privacy suggestions that you may not have considered.

The tech giant explains that these suggestions are “generated from the Google services that you use the most.”

For example, if you use Google Chrome to go YouTube you may be given an “Automatically delete YouTube History” suggestion.

Google says: “YouTube History helps give you better recommendations, a tailored home page, videos that pick up straight from where you left off, as well as recommending fewer videos that you’ve already watched.

“You can control how long history is saved by setting an auto-delete option.”

Google’s Privacy Check-Up contains a button that lets you easily set up auto-delete on YouTube.

You may also be told to review your “Web & App Activity settings”.

Google explains: “Saving your activity means you’ll get more personalized experiences in Maps, Search and other Google services, like faster searches and better recommendations.

“You can change your settings at any time to make sure that they’re right for you.”

You can turn your activity off so Google doesn’t keep track of what you’ve been using.

Other privacy suggestions involve controlling personalized ads and reviewing third-party app access.

Once Google has shown you all your suggestions, a message will appear that reads: “You’ve completed your Privacy Check-Up!”

Here you can check a box that says: “Send me occasional reminders about these settings.”
