APPLE has released a brand new iPhone color in a surprise announcement.
The tech giant quietly issued a newsroom post detailing the latest addition to the iPhone line-up.
Apple’s newest colour option is a striking yellow – perfect for Spring.
It’s available on the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus, which launched back in September.
The new hue joins the existing roster of available colors that includes Midnight, Starlight, Product Red, Blue and Purple.
“People love their iPhone and rely on it every day for all that they do, and now there’s an exciting addition to the lineup with a new yellow iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Plus,” said Apple’s Bob Borchers.
The yellow version of the iPhone 14 is otherwise identical to the rest of the line-up.
So you’ll still get the same 6.1-inch or 6.7-inch display, Apple A15 Bionic chipset, and powerful iOS 16 software.
It’s available to order on Friday, March 10.
And it’ll start shipping to customers on Tuesday, March 14.

You’ll pay $799 / £849 for the iPhone 14 in yellow, or $899 / £949 for the iPhone 14 Plus.
This isn’t Apple’s first-ever yellow iPhone, however.
Apple offered a very similar yellow color option with the iPhone 11.
And the now-ancient iPhone 5C was also available in an attractive yellow paint job.
Apple has started somewhat of a tradition of releasing new iPhone color options in the spring – several months after its usual September launches.
In March last year, Apple introduced new green finishes for its iPhones.
And in the previous spring, a purple version of the iPhone 12 was added to the line-up.
