She shared the hack on Instagram, where she has attracted 64,000 followers with her candid posts about parenting and intimacy.

Maggie said: “If you are a parent that gives their child your phone, this hack is going to be life-changing!

“Before you give your phone to your child, head to Settings.

“Go down to Accessibility, to Guided Access.

“Toggle that on and also make sure that Accessibility Shortcut is also on.

“Set a passcode that your child will not guess.

She added: “Then simply open the app that you’re happy for your child to play, triple click the side button on your iPhone, which will turn Guided Access on.

“This means that your child can’t leave that app, so they can’t get into anything they shouldn’t.

“To turn off guided access, simply triple click the side button on your phone, pop in your passcode and hit End.

“Easy, effective and you can also use this for an iPad too.

“If you have an Android phone, you can Google Guided Access for your phone brand and instructions should come up.”

People were divided over Amanda’s game-changing advice.

Sally said: “I tried this at 10pm last night. I forgot my passcode, and locked myself out while trying to exit Guided Access a billion times.”

Dan said: “Getting a law degree is simpler than this.”

Tyson said: “Just send your kids outside.”

It comes after a savvy mum revealed a clever hack which means she’s never rushing her kids to get things done.
