THOUSANDS of Nectar customers can get up to £25 free just by doing their shopping this weekend.

Shoppers signed up to the Nectar Points rewards scheme will be able to get the money when they head to their local Sainsbury’s.

Customers who shop in store tomorrow (February 4) can get a printed coupon for bonus points.

The amount will range between 50 and 5,000 points which equates to up to £25.

One Nectar Card point is worth 0.5p.

Customers just need to spend over £20 on their shop in store and swipe their Nectar card or scan their app before checking out.

Nectar customers shopping with SmartShop in supermarkets will also receive a coupon.

The offer comes as part of the Nectar nine-day giveaway.

Its “Big Points Bonanza” is taking place up until February 4 and includes several giveaways.

These include a prize draw where 50 lucky shoppers will win 1million Nectar points each, worth at least £5,000.

Customers simply need to enter at www.nectar.com/big-points-bonanza before tomorrow to be in with a chance of winning.

Across the nine days 45 Nectar customers will win a surprise 10,000 bonus points, worth up to £50, when they shop instore, via SmartShop or online and scan their Nectar card or app.

“We want to help them to get the most out of their shopping, which is why we’ve launched The Big Points Bonanza, a nine-day bonus points event where every customer can be a winner. 

“We love giving shoppers the feeling of little wins and this points giveaway is the perfect way to surprise and delight our Nectar customers this January.”

What is a Sainsbury’s Nectar Card?

Sainsbury’s loyalty scheme is called the Nectar Card.

Shoppers earn points when they spend money at Sainsbury’s, Sainsbury’s petrol stations and other retailers including eBay and Dulux Decorator Centres.

You can get 1 point per £1 on all qualifying spends at Sainsbury’s supermarkets and online.

You can also collect 1 point for every 1 litre of fuel when you fill up at Sainsbury’s petrol stations.

One Nectar Card point is worth 0.5p, so you have to get 200 Nectar points to get £1.

500 points are worth £2.50 at Sainsbury’s.

Once you have enough points you can turn them into vouchers to buy your next food shop at Sainsbury’s.

You can use the points to bag plane tickets at Expedia, train tickets from Eurostar or cinema tickets for Vue cinemas too.
