ASDA shoppers are rushing to buy bargain blankets for less than a quid in a bid to slash energy bills.
Eagle-eyed customers spotted the cheap blankets in certain stores – far less than prices online.

Shoppers posted the offers on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group.
One post, showing Disney-themed Mickey & Minnie Mouse blankets being sold in one Asda store for 80p, got over 5,700 likes, with over 10,000 comments from shoppers.
One fan said the blankets were a “good price”, while another said: “I need one”.
While yellow blankets with a bee and hive design were being sold for 60p at another Asda store.
The customer who spotted the bargin posted: “I bought them at Asda Arnison centre. They had loads.”
Shoppers raved about the deal, with one saying: “They’re very pretty good find.”
Another posted: “How cute are these.”
Some shoppers posted that they were disheartened they couldn’t find the deals in their stores.

When The Sun checked prices online, we found that the same blankets were being sold for a much higher price.
The Disney throw, was £7 online, which is £6.20 more expensive.
If you paid £2.95 for delivery, that would make it £9.15 – £8.35 more expensive in total.
While the bee blanket was £5, which is £4.40 more – although it was out of stock online.

It’s best to check ahead if the blankets are in store, and what price they are – otherwise it could be a wasted trip.
How else can I keep warm for less?
Demand for cheap ways to keep warm has been fuelled by spiralling energy bills, with households braced to pay £500 more a year from April.
With the cost of keeping the heating on overnight standing at a whopping £75.70 a week, billpayers are looking at other cost-effective solutions – like extra blankets.
If you can’t find a bargain blanket in your local Asda, there’s other ways to keep warm.
Layer up and make sure you have a thick winter duvet.

Put the kettle on and make up a hot water bottle.
A hot water bottle needs six cups of water – to fill it up once a day will cost this will cost £5.81 for 91 nights, which covers the winter period.
