Revolution Bars will continue shutting some venues on Mondays and Tuesdays into next month to save on energy costs after train strikes dashed its hopes for a lucrative Christmas.
The owner of the Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba chains said strikes dampened sales over the festive period, despite punters’ excitement for the first Christmas without Covid measures in three years.

After a disappointing Christmas, Revolution said a number of Revolution and Revolucion de Cuba sites will be shut on Mondays and Tuesdays in January and early February to slash energy bills.
Bosses admitted annual earnings would be lower than expected – forecast to sit at the lower end of between £6.7million to £10.5million. Shares in Revolution plunged 27 per cent.
