The German supermarket giant dropped it’s own budget version of the Oodie, a luxury loungewear item that has found viral fame.

Oodies are cosy, oversized blankets which can be warn like a hoodie.

The cheapest model comes in at around £64, while the higher-end version can cost up to a whopping £89.

Lidl’s, on the other hand, were priced at just £12.99, a discount of around 80%.

The store’s unisex plush jumper features the signature oversized fit and comes in a similar fluffy material, meaning it can keep customers toasty through the cold winter evenings.

If the hooded blanket isn’t your style, though, you could always try Lidl’s Esmara Plush Poncho.

The armless twist on the wearable blanket offers a comfortable slip-on style and round neckline.

And the best thing is it costs less than a tenner.

Or if you want to take your comfort level up a notch, you could opt for the Esmara Ladies Onesie for just £14.99, while the Pepperts Kids Onesie, at just £7.99, means cosy nights are on offer for all the family.

Customers are advised to head to their local store soon, as the new products are only available while stocks last.

However, if you have your heart set on a branded Oodie, there’s still time to take advantage of their mega winter sale, with saving of up to £35 per product.

For example, the Breakfast Buddies Oodie, which retails at £89, has been slashed to just £54 for a limited time on the brand’s website.
