The discount store is famous for its mega bargains, from gadgets to clothing, and this store has even more packed in.

It’s located in Teesside retail park and opened in February last year.

The 19,000 square feet store is three-times larger than the average shop and includes a large PEP&CO clothing and home department – which takes up a third of the shop.

Shoppers can use an escalator or lift when moving from floor-to-floor.

The discounter has proper, supermarket style checkouts, which makes for a much slicker exit.

This huge branch is packed with all the essentials – as well as those bits and pieces fans love so much.

Not only does it have a wide selection of snacks, tech, booze, and toys it also has a pretty extensive frozen range as well.

There is also a large range of makeup, food-to-go and kitchen appliances too.

What really sets the shop apart is that the store has its own set of changing rooms too, meaning that shoppers can try on clothes they want to buy.

This feature isn’t available in all stores, only some of the larger ones.

We’ve asked Poundland exactly how many stores do have changing rooms and will update this story when we hear back.

TikTokker, katie_nic_travels, visited the huge two-level shop and shared the experience with her followers.

Up until last year the biggest Poundland location was found in Nottingham which boasted 15,000sq ft.

But since then, the Teesside mega-shop has taken this title.

And, with three new big stores being opened in Denton, Greater Manchester and Peterborough in December, Nottingham is now the fourth largest in the country.

Of course if you visit this store its important to remember that not everything costs £1.

But, there are still some huge bargains to be had.

We’ve rounded up some tips for shopping in Poundland.

Top tips for shopping in Poundland

Poundland is the place to be if you’re looking for a bargain and only have a quid in your pocket.

But, not everything is worth adding to your basket – some goods aren’t as cost effective as you think they are.

Even though most things are priced at just £1, it can all quickly add up – so here’s what to look out for next time you shop.

Poundland stocks a whole range of gadgets including wireless phone chargers for the car, fitness trackers, Bluetooth speakers, headphones and more.

Its products are much cheaper than plenty of the tech heavy weights like Apple or Samsung and could be worth your cash.

The budget store even stocks its own beauty range too, which means skipping a visit to Superdrug or Boots, and paying even less.

Poundland has taken on competition from the likes of Boots and Tesco, by offering its own budget meal deal.

The important thing to remember is that just because its a great price doesn’t always mean its great value.

We always recommend having a shop around first to make sure you’re getting a good price for the product.

Also, when heading to one of the stores it might be a good idea to have a list so you don’t get distracted and end up spending too much.

Why not have a browse at some of the products online first too, it will give you a better idea of what’s available.
