Shoppers with a subscription can get free delivery and returns on all items with no minimum order fee.

For customers without a subscription, Next charges a standard delivery fee of £4.50.

The price rise has sparked fury debate among Next shoppers on social media.

Writing on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, one shopper said: “I’m going to have to cancel mine by the looks of it!!”

Another angry Next fan said: “I refuse to shop there from now on.”

And a third added: “I’m cancelling mine – the increase seems extortionate for the service.”

Next confirmed the price rise, adding that the subscription is still “great value if you order regularly”.

The price hike will hit households in the pocket, who are already dealing with soaring bills as the cost of living crisis rages on.

But some shoppers said they will still continue to use the service despite the increased cost.

One Facebook user said: “Still worth it for me with how much I order from there.”

This fan agreed, writing: “If you’re anything like me. I use Next all the time

“I use them for the returns as well – saves me a small fortune – I order a lot.”

With standard delivery costing £4.50, ordering from Next seven times would match the price of the delivery subscription.

This means if you’re a regular Next shopper, it could still be worthwhile.

But if you don’t think you’ll match this, you may want to consider cancelling your subscription.

It comes as Amazon upped the cost of Prime subscription prices by up to 20%.

Supermarket Iceland has also hiked the cost of food deliveries just before Christmas.

Netflix’s basic and standard plan prices have also increased by £1 a month, to £6.99 and £10.99 respectively.

How do you cancel your Next Unlimited subscription?

If you pay for Next Unlimited, you can cancel this any time.

If you cancel within the first 14 days of your subscription, and you haven’t used the service, you will get a full refund.

You can do this through your online Next account.

But if you wish to cancel after 14 days, you won’t be given a refund and your access to the service will be withdrawn straight away.

You also won’t be able to do this through your online account.
