IF you’re looking to give your garden a revamp during the Christmas bank holiday period, you will want to make sure that you have all the supplies necessary.

Here is what you need to know about whether garden centres will be open on the Christmas bank holiday.

Are garden centres open on the Christmas Bank Holiday?

We’ve chosen some popular garden centres that have several shops across the UK.

These include Dobbies, Hillier and Notcutts.

Dobbies

Dobbies is open on Christmas Eve with stores closing at 5pm.

They are then closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day, but returning to a reduced timetable between December 27 and December 30, with many closing earlier than usual.

They close early on New Year’s Eve, and are closed on New Year’s Day, returning to normal opening hours afterwards.

The centres are open in Scotland as well as England and Wales on bank holiday Monday, January 2, 2023.

Hillier

Hillier is open on Christmas Eve, closing at 4.30pm.

They are then closed On Christmas Day, Boxing Day and the bank holiday on Tuesday, December 27.

Most read in Money

Between December 28 and New Year’s Day, they are open with reduced opening hours from 10.30am – 4.30pm.

On January 2, 2023, they are back to usual opening hours.

Notcutts

Notcutts is open with usual hours on Christmas Eve for all their garden centres other than Notcutts Brampton, who close an hour earlier than usual.

They are then closed on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day, and open an hour later on the bank holiday on December 27, 2022.

All branches are open on New Year’s Eve, but will be closed on New Year’s Day.

On January 2, they will reopen with reduced hours as it is a bank holiday, before returning to normal opening hours on January 3.

Blue Diamond

Blue Diamond has nurseries in England and Wales.

All are closed on Christmas day with just two outlets open on Boxing Day.

Springfields in Spalding is open from 9.30am until 4pm, and Trentham, Stoke-on-Trent, is open from 10am to 4pm.

Only six outlets are open on New Year’s Day – Chenies (Van Hage) in Rickmansworth, Evesham in Worcestershire, Great Amwell (Van Hage) in Ware, Peterborough (Van Hage), Springfields, and Trentham
