A LOTTERY winner had laid back response when told she had scooped a £600,000 prize.

Patricia Shibley won the cash playing Canada’s Lotto Max after buying her ticket at a garage in Ontario.

But the pensioner raised eyebrows by remaining remarkably cool when she went to collect her winnings at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto.

“I saw a lot of zeroes and thought, whoa that’s cool!” she said.

Nevertheless she say she’s feeling “so grateful and just fantastic” after winning the life changing sum with numbers she chose herself.

Patricia says her daughter didn’t believe her at first but added: “She is very happy for me now.”

Big-hearted Patricia is planning to use the cash to help out her friends and family.

Her reaction is in contrast to another Ontario lottery winner Nancy Gardner.

Nancy said she was so shocked at the news that she thought someone was playing a prank on her.

She had used the same exact number combination for years until she struck gold this October.

Nancy said: “I checked the winning numbers on OLG.ca and thought OLG was playing a prank on me – I was shaking.

“I couldn’t believe it!”

Meanwhile Theresa Picton-Clark revealed she cried and screamed when she won £1 million on the lottery.

“My head was spinning, I was crying, I felt free,” said the 70-year-old.

It comes as another lottery winner was left devastated by her boyfriend’s cruel behaviour after she refused to use her winnings to buy him a Tesla.

The 26-year-old woman explains that her partner branded her a “cheapskate” after she refused to meet his demands which included a big house with a pool and a Tesla.

Taking it to Reddit the woman sought other people’s advice as her friends have also been very “cruel” and the whole situation has left her “devastated.”
