FAMOUS Twitch streamer Pokimane wants her fans to stop giving her so much money.

Many people use the online broadcasting channel as a way to boost their bank balance so it’s unusual for one of its most visible stars to start capping their profits.

Imane “Pokimane” Anys wants her fans to direct their tips to streamers who need the money more than she does.

She has capped the amount fans can donate at any one time to a maximum of $5.

Pokimane told her 2.6million Twitter followers: “Worked with @streamlabs to create a donation cap of $5 for my channel! Thank you for supporting me to the point where I consider anything more than that unnecessary.

“To anyone that was more generous- please support growing channels, charities, and treat yourselves.”

Before this, Pokimane’s 6.2million Twitch followers could send her hundreds of dollars worth of tips while they watched livestreamed videos of her gaming, cosplaying and vlogging.

Pokimane is unlikely to face financial issues though.

According to The Loadout, she’s worth “between $1-2 million”.

That’s up to £1.5million.

She also signed a multi-year deal with Twitch earlier this year.

No official figure has been disclosed from that deal but it’s likely to have been a small fortune to some.

Pokimane said during a livestream: “Even when sometimes people donate like $20 to me, I feel guilty.”

She added: ““When people donate even more, I feel like they have a certain expectation — I feel so bad.

“Like, if I feel like I can’t meet their expectation, in terms of my reaction or what they’re expecting me to do…”

Pokimane’s fans seem generally impressed with her desire for less money and have been praising the modest move.
