The shopper was elated at the huge discount

One smart shopper went to the till with a King Size Chevron Sherpa Duvet set, expecting to pay £28 for it.

But at checkout, the price came to just £16 – nearly a 50% saving.

Posting in Facebook’s Extreme Couponing and Bargain’s group, she said: “My bargain buy today – expected to pay £28 for my new king size bedding set, and [it] came out at the till at £16!”

Other shoppers replied: “I got the same one. Love it.”

And what’s even more about this bedding set is that it comes with a faux fur lining, making it warmer than normal duvet sets.

This could help you cut costs as you might be able to have the heating on a lower temperature or for less time while you’re snuggled under it.

Energy prices are soaring and as the UK braces itself for freezing temperatures, we’re all looking for ways to keep warm for less.

We can’t find the item online, but that doesn’t mean it won’t be in store.

Of course, prices change daily and vary from store-to-store but it’s worth checking in your local B&M if you can

You can find your nearest branch using the store finder online, but it’s best to call your local B&M before making a trip over there to avoid disappointment.

In November, the bargain store sold another winter essential for a fraction of the price.

One savvy shopper picked up a Sherpa throw for just 10p – so it’s worth checking in store to see if it’s still there.

How does the B&M app work?

B&M shoppers say they’ve saved hundreds of pounds by using the store’s free barcode scanner.

The tool allows them to discover discounted items before the staff have even reduced them.

The scanner lets you see if the item’s price is cheaper than advertised on the shop shelf.

Products that are typically discounted are seasonal items and old stock that B&M is trying to shift, or they’re labelled “big brands” and “big savings”.

It’s a terrific hack to use, especially since the cost of living keeps rising.

The scanner is completely free as well – you just need to download the B&M app.

One savvy mum revealed how she saved £90 in B&M thanks to the scanner.
