Greek Orthodox priest sustains life-threatening injuries after being shot by attacker, police say

A Greek Orthodox priest has been shot and injured at a church in the centre of the French city of Lyon by an assailant who then fled, a police source and witnesses said.

The priest was fired on twice at about 4pm (2pm GMT) as he was closing the church, the source said, and was being treated on site for life-threatening injuries.
