YOUR forgotten childhood toys could fetch you £12,000 after an iconic brand was revealed to be in huge demand once again.
Hello Kitty became a global phenomenon since its creation in 1974, with the cartoon character growing into a multi-billion dollar franchise.

The little kitten was created by Japanese company Sanrio and designed to reflect “Kawaii” culture which translates to “cute” or “loveable”.
Over the years, avid fans have purchased products including cosmetics, stationery, toiletries, umbrellas, keyrings, iPhone cases, and jewellery cases bearing her face.
And although the Hello Kitty brand was most popular during the late 1990’s and early 2000’s, the Y2K Kimora Lee Simmons collection is still coveted by collectors and fans.
It means fans have now been cashing in on some of those forgotten wares with their value soaring over the years.

Collectors are willing to pay a high price for the luxury Hello Kitty jewellery range, with necklaces valued at up to a whopping £12,000 ($15,000) on eBay.
Next time you’re clearing out your cupboards be sure to take a look for any Hello Kitty merch that could now be worth top dollar.
And it’s not only vintage items of the Japanese cartoon cat that are going for eye-watering prices.
It comes as a pair of trainers from the Hello Kitty x Nike collection – released earlier this year – are now being resold for up to £250 on eBay
And fans are also desperate to get their hands on a new clothing collection between the iconic brand and Nike.
Meanwhile a set of Hello Kitty Pez, which is described as having been retired, can fetch up to £61 online.
The Hello Kitty was first drawn by designer Yuko Shimizu, 76, 48 years ago and is owned by Japanese company Sanrio.
Created in 1974 the little cat character which first appear on a vinyl purse, came with only a limited back story – she was born in London and liked cookies.
Despite being widely known as Hello Kitty, her full name is actually “Kitty White” and she lives in suburban London with her parents, George and Mary.
The bobtail cat even has it’s own eatery – The Sanrio Hello Kitty café is located in Siam Square, Bangkok and was opened in September 2014.
