Millions of users complain that their phone runs out of juice too quickly, prompting TikTok star TA Tech Tips to come up with a solution.

The Brit content creator shared his nifty trick with his 1.4million followers on the video-sharing platform.

He explained there is a shortcut on Androids that allows you to protect your battery, ensuring your power lasts for longer.

For Samsung users, if you pull your home screen down with two fingers you will find a series of icons with different functions.

Scroll across and you will spot a plus symbol next to them – which gives you the ability to add more shortcuts to your collection.

You can then browse through the handy tools that you can add to your home screen to help you save time.

The tech expert continued: “There we go, we’ve got your shortcuts and you’ve got some optional ones here.

“So scroll across and there’s your option to protect your battery.”

By dragging the battery icon downwards to sit with your preloaded shortcuts, it will add this feature to your home screen.

As well as making it easy to find, it’s also an efficient way of getting every last drop of juice out of your phone.

With this function enabled, Samsung users are instructing the device to only charge up to 85 per cent.

By not fully charging your phone, it helps prolong the overall lifetime of its battery by avoiding overstressing it.

You can also find the option to protect your battery in settings, under battery and device care.

This battery-saving hack is also accessible for iPhone users who manually turn on Low Power Mode.

TikTokers were wowed by the incredible suggestion, while bombarding TA Tech Tips with requests for more helpful hints.

He previously shared three handy WhatsApp hacks that left social media users extremely impressed.

They’re quick and easy shortcuts that allow you to make a sentence or word appear in bolditalics, or strikethrough.
