WHATSAPP is launching a new premium plan – though you need not panic about having to pay.
First of all, it’s optional.
And the second, most crucial, detail is that it’s only meant for businesses using the popular app.
While you won’t be able to use them as a general user, it should help any companies you deal with via WhatsApp communicate with you more efficiently.
WABetaInfo has noticed that owner Meta is working on bringing some “advanced features”.
This includes a custom business link, which is a short link that takes customers to a landing page and easily start a conversation.
It may also mean quicker responses for you.
That’s because WhatsApp Premium lets businesses link up to 10 devices.
“Thanks to WhatsApp Premium, businesses can take advantage of some advanced features such as a better way to be reached by customers and some improvements when linking new devices,” the site said.
“This week, WhatsApp is finally releasing the subscription plan for certain businesses that install the latest beta version of the Android and iOS app available on the Play Store and TestFlight!”

There’s no telling how soon it’ll all be available officially.
WhatsApp is yet to announce anything official for the moment, so we’ll have to wait and see.
But experts at the firm are constantly working on new features.
And there are many which will be accessible to the general public.
More new WhatsApp features coming soon
One feature the Facebook-owned platform is currently looking at is a way to leave groups quietly.
At the moment, the app outs you whenever you quit a group, stating at the bottom that you’ve left.
This new feature will allow you to do it quietly instead to avoid the awkwardness.
If you want to try the latest WhatsApp features first, follow our guide below to join the beta.
How to get WhatsApp beta
To download WhatsApp beta for your smartphone you need to go to Google Play on your Android and search for WhatsApp.
Scroll down the page until you see “Become a Beta Tester”.
Tap the “I’m In” button and then click “Join” to confirm.
Now all you have to do is wait for the update to the beta version of the app.
