Nexstar Media Group Inc. named veteran television executive Dennis Miller to lead the CW Network now that it has completed its acquisition of a majority stake in the television network.

Nexstar said Monday that it has completed its acquisition of 75% in CW and that Mr. Miller, who is currently a Nexstar board member, will serve as president of the CW, effective immediately. A former executive at Sony Pictures Entertainment and Lionsgate Television Mr. Miller succeeds Mark Pedowitz, who has been chairman and chief executive of the CW for the past 11 years.
