AN oblivious Brit is sitting on a £7million National Lottery fortune as their lotto jackpot is still unclaimed nearly four months later.
The lucky player struck their massive win in the June 18 draw, but are yet to come forward and snatch their money.
Players have just 180 days – or around six months – to claim their National Lottery winnings.
If they do not come forward the money, and any interest earned, will go to one of the National Lottery’s good cause projects.
This oblivious player has until December 15 to come forward. They are among 14 others who are yet to claim their winnings.
The ticket was bought in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, and anyone who bought tickets in that area is being asked to check, and double-check, theirs.
Andy Carter, The National Lottery’s senior winners’ advisor, announced today someone had claimed their £5.2m win from last week’s draw.
But, he added: “We’re also still searching for a missing £7.4m Lotto jackpot winner from the draw on 18 June 2022.
“The missing winner bought their ticket in Wolverhampton and we’re renewing our appeal for Lotto players in the area to check their tickets to be in with a chance of claiming another incredible Lotto jackpot prize.”
It was only recently that an Australian Lotto player became a millionaire by mistake when he accidentally selected the wrong number on his ticket.
