Sergiu Boianjiu raped and stamped on woman and left her for dead, 20 years after killing his girlfriend

A convicted killer has been jailed for life with a minimum term of 26 years for the “evil and depraved” rape and attempted murder of a stranger whom he left for dead in an alleyway in a Northamptonshire town.

Sergiu Boianjiu, 38, who came to Britain after serving 10 years in his homeland of Moldova for the murder of his girlfriend in 2002, was caught on CCTV in February as he raped and repeatedly stamped on the head of a woman in Wellingborough.
