WARM up, warm up! Get properly autumn-ready with the season’s best treats.
New menus have landed at some of my favourite eating spots, and I’ve found the best ways to help you indulge in steaming maple coffees and sweet apple pies without a hefty price tag.
SQUASH THE PRICE: Few things says autumn like a Pumpkin Spice Latte.
Starbucks’ tasty version is £3.65 a cup, but if you head to Greggs you can sup up some savings with its version on the new autumn menu costing £2.20.
HAVE YOUR CAKE: September is the busiest month for birthdays. Download the Krispy Kreme rewards app, register for the loyalty scheme and you get a voucher for a free doughnut during your birthday month, saving you up to £2.25. You can also get a free doughnut just for downloading the app.
MAGIC MIX: McVitie’s and Krispy Kreme have joined forces to create a juicy treat for autumn.
The limited edition Jaffanut, inspired by Jaffa Cakes, are in Krispy Kreme stores now with a £2.45 price.
You can also get the more-biscuity Jaffa Jonuts in supermarkets, with a pack of four down from £1.50 to £1.25 at Asda.
MAPLE YOUR OWN: Costa’s new drinks range is all about maple, including a Maple Hazel Latte and Maple Hazel Hot Chocolate — both come with a Light Dairy Swirl.
You can save money by making your own maple latte at home: Simply heat some milk gently in a pan. Make an espresso coffee and stir in a spoonful of maple syrup.
Whisk the hot milk, then pour over the espresso — and enjoy.
