TESCO’s app and website is down as customers complain that they are unable to complete their shop.
Shoppers claim that they have been unable to process online orders since 10.45am this morning.
By 12.00pm, the number of reported outages with the app and website had reached 481.
Tesco confirmed the technical issue on Twitter in response to customer complaints.
The supermarket said: “We are very sorry for this issue, we are experiencing website and app technical issues at the moment.
“We have reported this to our IT Team and they are currently investigating this. We hope this will be resolved very soon and thank you for your patience.”
Other customers have taken to Twitter to vent their rage.
One shopper posted: “Tesco is your website down? Can’t add to trolly or book a slot.”
Another said: “App seems to be down, can’t confirm my basket for home delivery?”
Tesco’s website last went down on August 15, leaving thousands of customers unable to complete their online orders.
Over 2,000 complaints had been logged on outage detection site Downdetector.
The supermarket giant was made quickly aware of problems and apologised to shoppers for the inconvenience.
