A £900-a-month London studio apartment has sparked a ‘frenzy’ of viewings but for a strange reason.

The ground floor studio apartment in ‘prime South Kensington location’ Onslow Gardens is described as ‘boasting a private kitchenette’ on Rightmove.

However, photographs of the pokey flat showcased by Savills estate agents reveal what makes the ‘kitchenette’ ‘private’ is that it’s also the bedroom.

The double bed is crammed into the corner so close to the kitchen counter you could bump your head on the oven door.

The ‘cozy’ property, which is listed as charging £867-a-month, also requires tenants to share one bathroom with other studio flats on the ground floor of the converted three-story house.

They also manage to squeeze a glass kitchen table and chair, along with a single clothes rail, into the room.

Potential tenants are required to rent the 133 sq ft property for a minimum of 12 months, and no pets are allowed.

A Savills estate agent has said since the property was listed on Wednesday August 31 they have received more than 60 enquiries overnight.

A ‘block-viewing’ of 18 keen tenants was also booked for Thursday afternoon.

The agent went on to say the listing had inspired a ‘frenzy’ of enquiries from potential tenants, and that the arranged block booking at 2pm was likely to be ‘quite chaotic’.

Savills were contacted for comment.

This is not the only London property with an attractive price tag that comes with a catch – a property, located in Walthamstow, listed for £600 a month but came with a trade-off as residents will have to share communal areas with up to 44 people.

The apartment has already attracted 18 potential residents.

Another modern London flat was available for £945 a month – but it could be a struggle to make your bed.

That’s because the bed is up a ladder and directly below the ceiling on a mezzanine level, giving little wiggle room to anyone using it.
