IF you’re out and about during the August Bank Holiday weekend, you want to make sure that you’re fuelled up and ready to go.

Here is what you need to know about open petrol stations near you during the August Bank Holiday weekend.

Are petrol stations open on August Bank Holiday?

If you’re planning to top up on petrol before a getaway over the weekend, you may want to double check that your local petrol station is open.

The August Bank Holiday is set to be a sunny one and many might be hoping to fill up before making the most of the heat.

BP

It’s not clear how or whether the August Bank Holiday will affect opening times nationwide.

However, BP have a ‘find your nearest bp’ tool on their website, so you can look up your nearest one using your postcode and check that they’re open directly.

Esso

The same is true of Esso, but thankfully it’s really easy to look up whether they’re open.

Simply type your postcode into their search tool, and by clicking on “Station Details”, you can get a breakdown of their opening hours and contact details.

Shell

If you’re looking to find the opening times of your local Shell station, they have a station locator.

Helpfully, it features filters for whether you’re looking for a cash machine, a toilet, and various other options including fuel types.

Texaco

Texaco’s station locator can be found here.

After entering your postcode you’ll be able to find the one closest to you, or the one you plan to stop at during your journey and check whether they’ll be open.

Jet

Unfortunately, Jet don’t appear to provide a contact number or opening times information on their locator tool.

They do provide the addresses of stations, so it might be worth looking up the station online and contacting them if you’re relying on a Jet station being open during your travels.

Murco’s search tool makes it easy for you to look up which of their stations is closest to you.

So simply enter your town or postcode and look up whatever station you want and contact them directly about their opening hours.
