But next time you send a heart on WhatsApp, you might want to think twice.

Apparently the different colours can change what they mean entirely.

There’s no strict rule of course.

According to Cosmopolitan, this is what each coloured heart emoji usually suggests.

What does the red heart emoji mean?

Let’s start with the classic, original, red heart.

This one is usually pretty simple, for those you are truly in love with.
