THE world’s first Jesus simulator is set to be released and allows players to act as Christ in virtual reality.

The simulator game is fittingly called I Am Jesus Christ and includes events such as Jesus’s baptism, miracles, crucifixion, and resurrection.

It’s being developed by SimulaM and PlayWay

SimulaM CEO Maksym Vysochanskiy told Vice: “Basically, over 20 years ago, I was so inspired by computer-animated movies like Shrek and Toy Story that I thought, ‘It would be great to make such a movie about Jesus Christ.”

That idea has now come to life and some people have already been allowed to test the game.

Testers include Vice reporter Matteo Lupetti who spent about two hours in the Jesus simulation.

Lupetti said the game begins with a search for John the Baptist and you play as Jesus asking people where he is.

Players need to wear VR goggles.

This allows them to look down and see the hands of virtual Jesus as they ’embody’ him in the simulation.

Having the hands of Jesus comes with as much virtual power as you would imagine.

You can walk around the virtual world destroying viruses, turning water into wine and throwing balls of fire at Satan.

Lupetti reported: “After defeating Satan à la Dragon Ball, Jesus begins his preaching and his journey to Jerusalem.

“Apparently, that also included destroying evil crystals placed by Satan in several Palestinian cities.

“I also solved a bunch of puzzles in a celestial dimension to unlock new miracles and then used said miracles in my preaching.”

Despite seeming to enjoy the aspects of the game, the reporter did question the compatability of Christianity and video games.

Mostly because everyone seems to ultimately be a winner.

The game will be released this Christmas 2022.
