BT went down earlier today leaving hundreds of customers unable to access their email.

The broadband provider was suffering technical issues leaving customers without access to their online account.

More than 600 problems had been reported by 9.25 this morning, according to Downdetector.

BT has now confirmed to The Sun that the the issue has been resolved.

Many furious BT users took to social media to complain about the issues.

One said on Twitter: “Is there issues with the Web and app as I am not able to log into either and need to check my bill. Thanks.”

Another said: “Hi I can’t log in to MyBT via web or iOS app. Says service unavailable. Is there a problem at present?

“Trying to print a copy of my latest bill. Thanks”

A third person said: “Trying to log into my BT email website – says service is not available.”

BT responded to the comment on Twitter addressing the problems.

It said: “I tried mine as well and working on mobile with app but not computer.

“Hopefully it will be resolved soon and I’ll let you know.”

One customer, who works from home, said their internet connection keeps “dropping out regularly”.

The issues appeared to have started at around 9am on Monday, July 25, according to the website Downdetector.

Some 52% of the issues reported related to email, 46% to internet and 2% to phone signal.

This isn’t the first time the network has suffered technical issues.

Last year, users of BT Mail were unable to login to their email accounts and EE customers had trouble accessing their provider’s My EE app and website.
