In the recent episode of his daily program, Jim stated that the preachers are being killed in their pulpits over their support of Florida’s law, don’t say gay. The comments were first reported by Right Wing Watch.

The televangelist no longer preaches the gospel, rather, preaches about the apocalypse, which he claims has already started. Jim’s doomsday messages have a fewer number of fans, but he shows no signs of letting up.

Currently, Jim Bakker is doing well with his health, although The Jim Bakker Show Instagram revealed that the host had a stroke in May 2020. However, his son, Jay, desired the stoke as ‘minor.’

His wife, further added that Jim would be taking a sabbatical from the daily program until he recovers. She stated the stroke was the result of his hard work on his show and further penned that he had described the criticism against him as the most vicious attack that has ever happened to him.

Jim’s lawsuit involved misinformation regarding treatments for the coronavirus. He sold colloidal silver supplements that he advertised as a panacea. In March he was ordered to cease making false medicinal claims about his supplements by the office of the Attorney General of New York.

Jim Bakker Family -Meet His Wife

Jim Bakker was born in Muskegon, Michigan, to his parents Raleigh Bakker and Furnia Lynette “Furn” Irwin, and has married twice. He married his first wife Tammy Faye LaValley on April 1, 1961.

The couple shared two kids from their marriage namely Tammy Sue “Sissy” Bakker Chapman born on March 2, 1970, and Jamie Charles “Jay” Bakker born on December 18, 1975, an American author, pastor, and speaker.

Unfortunately, the couple divorced on 13 March 1992 after thirty-one years of marriage. After separating from his first wife, Jim married Lori Beth Graham, a former televangelist, on September 4, 1998, only after fifty days after they met.

Jim and Lori then adopted five children in 2002. The televangelist fathers seven children: two biological and five adopted.

Jim Bakker has an estimated net worth of around $500 thousand, earned through his profession as a televangelist. After marrying Tammy, the couple left the college to become itinerant evangelists and soon traveled to land in North Carolina eventually.

He then encountered a failed religious theme park, Heritage USA, and several other scandals, including him being accused of sexual misconduct, after which he was dismissed as a minister altogether in the year 1987.

In 1988, he was indicted on 8 counts of mail fraud, one count of conspiracy, and 15 counts of wire fraud. A judge found Bakker guilty on all counts and was sentenced to prison for 45 years initially.

However, in 1991, he was reduced to a mere eight years and further paroled after five years. Upon Jim’s release in 1994, he owed $4 million to the IRS. After several years, he returned to television in 2003 and has been the host of The Jim Bakker Show with his wife, Lori, since then.
