THE latest Fortnite update added a new challenge that has got many fans scratching their heads.
You’re tasked with entering the main chamber at Shuffled Shrines and combining the relic shards, which may be confusing if you haven’t been paying attention to Fortnite Chapter 3 Season 3 so far.

The main chamber is locked behind a puzzle door, and you’ll need to explore Shuffled Shrines to its fullest to find it. We’ll tell you where you need to look, how to open the door, and how to combine the relic.
Enter the main chamber puzzle solution – Fortnite
At the entrance to the chamber, you’ll be greeted by four pillars each with different symbols on them. You’ll need to put the symbols in the correct order to unlock the door.
The bad news is that this pattern is randomised every match, so there’s no one size fits all solution. The good news is that the clues to solve it always spawn in the same place.
Around Shuffled Shrines there are four rocks that show you which symbols will open the door. Each rock corresponds to one of the pillars.
Here are their locations and which pillar they reference (counting from the left):
- Pillar 1 – Southwest corner, underground
- Pillar 2 – Northwest of the main chamber
- Pillar 3 – Northeast by a red tent
- Pillar 4 – East of the main chamber, underground
Once you’ve got each symbol, head back to the main chamber and interact with the pillars to spin them to the correct positions. Then sit back and watch the door slide open.

How to combine the relic shards – Fortnite
As you step inside be on your guard, there are traps ready to kill you if you don’t tread lightly. Watch out for pressure pads on the floor.
Once you’re past the track you’ll find the Tomatohead relic, pick this up as you’ll need it later.
It’ll add a few gold bars to your wallet as well.
Continue to follow the chamber round and you’ll find a grand pedestal waiting for you. Interact with it and you’ll combine the relic shards, completing the challenge.
Make sure you stay on your guard as you explore the temple, as other players might be laying in wait to kill you once you’ve solved the puzzle and reap the rewards.
