Matches Fashion has hired former Asos boss Nick Beighton as chief executive to spearhead a turnaround.
The online luxury fashion retailer said he will take over from Paolo De Cesare after a short transition.
Beighton, 53, is being tasked with turning around Matches ahead of an eventual sale by its private equity owner Apax Partners, Sky News reported.

Matches sells clothes from designer brands including Prada, Gucci and Balenciaga online.
It also has three stores in London including in Wimbledon, where it was founded 35 years ago.
Apax bought a majority stake in the business in 2017 in a deal worth around £850million.
Beighton’s appointment will make him the fourth boss of Matches in less than three years.
Beighton said: ‘I love fashion and ecommerce and have long been an admirer of Matches. It is a pioneer in the sector and has redefined the face of luxury shopping.’
He said Matches has ‘huge potential’ and promised to apply his technology, logistics and culture expertise to galvanise the business.
