A LONDON flat with a £1,000 per month rent is causing a stir due to its small size.

The cramped flat is on the renter’s market for a pretty standard rate for property in the capital, but prospective tenants should be prepared for a tiny catch.

The Kentish Town property is advertised as a furnished and modern studio flat with a private bathroom and ‘kitchenette’.

However, step inside and you find that the flat is so small that the dining table is next to the bed.

The two-person table barely fits in the room alongside the bed and tiny set of bedside drawers.

In fact, the table has to sit behind the door to fit in the mini room.

It’s so cramped that you could eat from the bed without much trouble.

Meanwhile, the supposed kitchenette consists of a small sink, washing machine, mini-fridge and microwave-sized oven constructed on a single shelf.

The bathroom is no better, with the sink, toilet and shower all within touching distance of one another.

There is also no garden/outdoor space or parking available.

All that for just £1,000 per month.

After all, it is located a convenient ten-minute walk from Kentish Town tube station.

The rent includes council tax, water and internet bills but still totals about the same as a monthly mortgage payment on a larger flat.

The property is open to single applicants and students but families, pets and smokers are not allowed.
