A LOVELY family home has attracted plenty of attention on Facebook – but maybe not for the reason you might expect.

The red-brick property in London borough Bexleyheath has a well-kept front garden and a white front door fitted with an attractive gable.

It lies close to popular town Crayford, which boasts its own theatre and greyhound racing track.

But the reason people are talking about the home isn’t because of its architecture or location.

Adrian Keilbowicz spotted one very odd feature – and shared a photo on Facebook group S*** London with the caption: “The most useful balcony there is!”

On a second look, the house does have a balcony – but there’s no way to access it.

It’s been placed above the living room window in a nice sunny spot.

Unfortunately, there’s no door or ladder to the mezzanine, rendering it completely useless.

Social media users used estate agent lingo to joke about the addition.

One quipped: “Bijou, al fresco, south-facing flat”, before another pitched in: “‘Spacious home with balcony’ probably gets a few more quid on the property estimate.”

A commenter branded the feature a “bal con-y.”

Another said: “I think that’s quite considerate actually.

“The builder evidently knew the plumber would be going back for some afternoon delight and made a safe hideaway landing for him if hubby came home early.

“Very thoughtful, mate!”

It’s not the only home with a surprise that’ll make visitors double-take.

One four-bed property with a huge garden is on sale for £1million in Missouri, US.

At first glance, it appears to be the perfect place to raise a family.

But when visitors head outside, they’ll spot a swimming pool in the shape of a raunchy body part.
