MILLIONS of families could save on their children’s school clothes after Aldi brought back its popular £5 uniform bundle.

The school bundle includes two polo shirts, one sweatshirt and either trousers or a skirt.

The sweatshirt costs £1.50, the girls/boys polo shirt two pack is £1.75 and the girls/boys trousers or skirt is £1.75.

It will be available to pre-order online from July 3 and you can pick up the items in store from July 7.

Many households will be struggling financially during the cost of living crisis with energy bills, inflation and other costs soaring.

So Aldi’s bundle will come at a welcome time.

It will also help families avoid the rush ahead of the new school year from September.

But you’ll have to be quick, as the bundle is a Specialbuy, so once the items are gone, they’re gone.

And if you are looking to purchase the items online, the minimum delivery will cost you £2.95, which could spike the cost.

The items are available in sizes four years to 12 and they also have a satisfaction guarantee on them.

And this year, Aldi is continuing its partnership with Cotton made in Africa (CmiA) which means the uniforms are made with the highest quality, sustainably sourced cotton.

Aldi’s school uniform bundle has helped families in previous years as well.

Last year, the bundle cost £4.50 and was the supermarket’s cheapest ever offer.

That means it’s going to cost parent 50p more to stock up this year, but it’s still pretty cheap compared to rivals.

What other ways can you save on school uniform?

For those not wanting to pop to the supermarket, there are other options open to you.

Going second-hand is one thing you can do to save on the pounds.

Also keep an eye out for school fetes as parents will often be selling items their children have outgrown.

Facebook Marketplace is another great option. Often you’ll find branded uniforms for at least half the cost or, if you’re lucky, free.
