However, you don’t need to wait for OS 13 to access several clever features on your device.

Here are three awesome tools you can try out right now.

Hide your notifications

If you hate seeing a slew of notifications on your locked screen, then there’s a way to hide them.

All you have to do is scroll down to the bottom of your notification shade.

There, you’ll spot a ‘History’ button. Simply tap it, and you should see notifications as well as alerts from the past 24 hours.

If you don’t see History and instead see Manage, that means your Notification History setting is off.

Turn it on by clicking on Manage > Notification History > On.

Try out gaming mode

If you love to play games on your Android device, then you need to try out Gaming mode.

Basically, this feature limits distractions when you’re gaming so you can enjoy your time or really focus.

To turn it on, head to Settings > Notifications > Do Not Disturb > Schedules.

Once there, toggle Game Mode on, and then tap on the Settings gear icon.

Use your device with one hand

Android 12 allows you to use your device with just one hand via ‘One-handed’ mode.

This is especially helpful if your phone has a large display, such as the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

Essentially this feature moves the top half of your screen to the bottom half, allowing you to access it easier with one hand.

To enable this, go to Settings > System > Gestures > One-Handed Mode and toggle it On.

Once you’ve done that, you can access the tool whenever by placing a finger on the small bar at the bottom of your phone’s screen and swiping down.
