Massive blaze breaks out at container storage facility 25 miles from country’s main sea port, Chittagong

At least 16 people have been killed and 170 others injured after a huge fire tore through a container depot in southern Bangladesh, officials said on Sunday.

The fire broke out shortly before midnight at a container storage facility in Sitakunda, about 40kms (25 miles) from the key port of Chittagong, fire service official Jalal Ahmed said.
