A PROFESSIONAL house clearer once found £10,00 in cash and live snakes buried in people’s old rubbish.
Craig Wade, based in Grimsby, turns trash into treasure by taking unwanted items from peoples’ homes and selling them from his car boot.

He got a taste him a taste for the business model after visiting a car boot sale with his dad at five years old.
Craig says: “There’s not many doing what we do, that’s for sure.”
After starting the resale process with two bed sheets, he went on to launch Craig’s House Clearances.
Craig has since made a career out of selling unwanted items found in the houses he cleans out.
He’s often surprised at some of the discarded items he comes across that people want to do away with.
His most amazing find was stumbling across a wad of cash.
He said: “I remember doing one house where I found a filing cabinet that had a strange box in it and when I opened it there was £10,000 in notes just sat there.”
Craig decided to do the right thing and tried to return the money to the family – but after a year of it being unclaimed, invested it into his business.

There’s been other unexpected surprises – but not all of them have been good.
He said: “I remember in one house I opened the door and there was urine everywhere and I ended up finding rats, mice and even four snakes just crawling around. I felt so sick.”
One of his favourite things is seeing the items that were going to be dumped get a second life.
Craig said: “For me, it’s about seeing the amount of stuff that’s just dumped and being able to do something with it.
“It’s great for the environment to keep reusing things and it’s also great for the public who get themselves a bargain.”
Craig hopes to open his own shop in the future but says it’s going to take some time before being in a position to do that.
For now – he’s happy showing off what he picks up at locals markets around the area.
