LIDL is urgently recalling packs of beer and has warned some shoppers not to drink the product.

The supermarket said affected customers can return the Starovice Czech Lager to the store.

The recalled batch contains sulphur dioxide which is not mentioned on the label.

That means it is a possible health risk for anyone with a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites.

Customers should check the beer’s label to see if they’ve purchased an affected product.

It has a best before date of October 16, 2022 and comes in a 500ml pack size.

Shoppers who have bought the beers and have a sensitivity to sulphur dioxide or sulphites should not drink the product.

Instead you can return it from the store where you bought it for a full refund.

Customers don’t need a receipt to get their money back.
