Those hoping to post a last minute letter on bank holiday Monday, might struggle as some offices are running reduced hours.

Is the Post Office open during the early May Bank Holiday?

Many Post Offices will be open as normal throughout the May Bank Holiday weekend.

Normally the Post Office is shut on Sundays and Bank Holidays.

This means any deliveries or collections will not be carried out on Sunday, May 1 or Monday, May 2, 2022.

Some branches might be open though so we would recommend checking your local branch’s individual operating hours this weekend before setting out.
