SCRUMPY lovers have the hump after the average price for a pint of draught cider went over £4 for the first time.
The fruity tipple — the favourite of 1970s novelty band The Wurzels — has soared in price by 7.5 per cent since 2019 and by 12p to £4.03 in just a year.

As well as rising costs, experts say the increase is down to drinkers switching to more expensive craft versions.
Cider fan Ted Leggett, 42, of Norwich, said: “I think such a rise was sadly inevitable.
“I may be more likely to have a drink at home than in the pub.”
Dave Triffitt, 55, from Oxford, agreed: “I feel very sad that this will alter the pub culture in the UK.
“I’ll probably go less and, when I do, will only have one drink.
“I may well have a drink at home with a mate but it’s not the same.”

The figures were in a report by Herefordshire cider maker Westons.
Spokesman Tim Williams said: “Brits are drinking less in terms of volume, but choosing better quality, more premium options.”
