Intel Corp. Chief Executive Pat Gelsinger received compensation valued at nearly $180 million in 2021, his first year at the helm of the chip giant.

The $178.6 million compensation package included a $1.1 million base salary, $140.4 million in stock awards, $29.1 million in option awards and $5.1 million in nonequity incentives, according to Intel’s annual proxy filing Wednesday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
